For a couple of hours, as it seems that Apple has us accustomed, we have some surprise every time we visit the Apple website. Monday was the iPad Air and iPad mini renovated. On Tuesday it was the iMac's turn. Today, supposedly it was the turn of the iPod touch 7th generation, but in the end they have been the expected 2nd generation AirPods.
For a few hours, Apple has finally put on sale the second generation AirPods, Airpods that not only offer us as the main novelty the wireless charging of the container box, but also integrates a series of new functions such as "Hey Siri."
If you recently bought the AirPods, you should keep in mind that before you bang your head against the wall, Apple offers us the possibility to buy the wireless charging case separately, that if, at the price of Apple: 89 euros.
With the launch of the second generation of AirPods, Apple offers us two versions:
- AirPods with wireless charging case (it also has a lightning connection) for 229 euros.
- AirPods with charging case via lightning for 179 euros.
In both cases, the AirPods are second generation and finally offers us the option to invoke Siri through a voice command, without having to physically interact with the headset. The processor to manage this second generation is the H1, instead of the W1.
The availability of the AirPods wireless charging case stands between the March 29 and the April 2. However, if we go for the new generation with wireless charging case, we only have to wait 3-5 days. The version without wireless charging will begin to be available from March 26.
