Tim Cook insists: iPads and Macs don't have to merge

The post-PC era does not mean that Macs have to merge with iPads or vice versa. This is not something new for Apple users is leading to confusion for many others who think that the future of the iPad is to replace or directly converge with the MacBook.

Apple CEO Tim Cook himself has been repeating this argument for a long time and it does not seem that MacBooks and iPads are going to become a single team, according to Cook both teams are capable of joint or separate tasks equally well and precisely for that they don't have to make it a single team.

Each team a task and some shared

This is what Cook continues to say, in the different interviews carried out by the different media through which he passes and it is that he is always asked if the replacement of the MacBook will be the iPad, he always answers the same, both can coexist perfectly. A new interview conducted by The Sydney Morning Herald, it is clear again that they don't want to merge both devices into one.

If we think about it coldly, many of us could not work with our iPad or our MacBook in a unique way, sometimes it is better to do the tasks with the Mac and others with the iPad, so a fusion of both could go really wrong for some tasks and this is what Cook says in the interview. Anyway it is true that many tasks can already be performed on the iPad Pro just like they are done on a MacBook but the power of the latter for some tasks will always be greater (depending on the clear model) and therefore necessary for greater productivity.

On the other hand, we also have that feeling that they will end up joining both devices with the compatible apps, the Continuity or the Handoff, but this adds an added value to the products that Apple does not want to lose with a possible merger between the two, in addition to money, of course Apple gains more by selling both teams separately than putting them together in one that was capable of doing all the work. As Apple says, choose which of these two products best suits your needs and buy it.
