A bit expensive with the prices that GPS devices have now, right ...?

In other words, they charge us for the program, practically the same as a GPS device with its receiver, screen, support, etc ...

Luckily, we have the appulo.us page ...

    Salu2

And is one going to come out for South America ???

  3.   Mario said

And do you know anything about the support? This is what interests me the most because apparently it increases the phone's GPS reception. I know it from a strong reliable, a website called actualidadiphone, he he

  4.   Jose said

then they say that they do not jailbreak how things are crisis and such and for an appq does not bring support does not bring na de na a fortune juassss Appuloo us !!! XD

I have tried the cr4ckeado navigon with the radar and pois maps of Spain but bah like tomtom, let's not wait for 4ppulo.es xD

I have already downloaded it supposedly cracked. When I try it, I'll tell you how it was….

I have already downloaded and installed TomTom «Iberia» (Spain, Portugal, Andorra) and it works great. Even inside the house, depending on whether or not I am near a window or terrace, it takes my GPS. It works similar to the "traditional" TomTom (I have a TomTom 720 for the car). It does not hang up when they call you by phone (you answer the call and return to the application); allows you to choose a destination from your contacts (just like Navigon); the graphics are… "TomTom", better (to my liking) than any of the other three (Sygic, iGo or Navigon: I've tried them). The only downside (although I'm still tinkering): I don't know if you can enter (via SSH) new speed camera locations and configure the corresponding alert (as is done with a car TomTom). Anyway, I will continue with the subject.

Hello guys, I am worried about something that is being talked about about TomTom, and it is the issue of lag that they say there is and that it does not occur for example in the Navigon, can someone corroborate it? How is the tomtom going around the city? Thanks

  14.   X's said

Forgive my ignorance, what are IPAS? I am also looking forward to reporting the support, perhaps this is the one that will not be available until September.

    Greetings and thanks 😉

  15.   daniphone said

Total disaster, it loses the signal continuously and when you have some signal it is not synchronized with the position of the car, I suppose they do it expressly for you to buy the special support. They should sell it together with the support. Tested on a 3GS

  16.   joselopezz said

adrianBCN thanks for the tip. Already actualidadiphone for announcing the departure, I have already thanked them by being interested in their publicity.

  17.   Miguel Angel said

Someone else who has it besides DaniPhone and the same thing happens to him and with such a bad experience?!?!?

  18.   Jose said

Nach, the TomTom, does not work on the iPhone EDGE. since it does not carry GPS. The problems that exist will be solved with a TomTom Update

  19.   TATATATA said

IT GOES TO ME OF PEARLS, I HAVE IN LNAVIGON BUT THE TOMTOM IS GOING MUCH BETTER. IT IS WORTH IT TO LOWER THE IPA, I WANT THE ORIGINAL SUPPORT OF TOM TOM CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE PRICE?

  20.   Miguel Angel said

And what about the lag that some say?

  21.   adrianBCN said

Well after testing it in the car, to say that it is a botch.
It tells you where you are wrong, when it finds you, it goes to lagazos… ufff so much tomtom publi for this ??
    Fix it now !!!

They have been too quick to get him out and now he's on his ass !!!

You're welcome for the tip people, that's what we're here for.

Someone to explain to me why the map of Europe costs 40% more than that of the US?

It seems to me an abuse, not to say a theft.

  23.   adrianBCN said

Let's say that Europe is bigger than the US, if not for that I don't understand why it is more expensive.

  26.   X's said

    What are IPAS?

    Thank you.

  27.   Josh said

one thing I didn't like is that the maps are "fixed".
that is, with the other browsers, you had a map for each country .. and if you knew how to tinker and ssh, you could install only the maps you wanted.

Not so with Tomtom ... all «Western Europe» is an inseparable pack ... +

With how easy it would be to allow to buy individual countries using the "in-app store"

  28.   Adri said

It gives me that it is like the navigon, the sygic and the igo that some do well, but others do like the ass ...

And I wonder, do they want us to spend € 300 to see which one is going well for us? Fuck them! To download the ipa that they spend an egg with those prices (and for the record that when an app is worth paying for it, especially if it is Spanish) that one thing is to pay up to € 10 but € 70 ... well prices will drop. If it weren't for the jailbreak ...

  29.   Adri said

Yes Josh but that way they get more slice, and they don't make a single World Cup because it would already be cheeky. But it would have to be like that, for example only Spain for € 30-40 that would be more reasonable. What is it that it seems that tomtom is the
best in the world. And from the comments that I read .. It will be that no

  30.   Andreu said

Jo I have it from today and I have already tried it and goes to the movies !!! I live in Manresa and I have put him in the passenger seat with a citroen c4 with athermic glass and it has not given me any problem !! I give it a ten ...

  31.   Kotemon said

    Hola!
I already have it ... and honestly the first one tests quite well, what happens has been a very short journey.
    - As soon as I opened the application, I found a signal, something that did not happen to me with the Navigon, for example, that sometimes it took me a little while.
    - The route I already told you was very short, but I liked it a lot because of where it has indicated to me it is already the shortest route and the rest never indicated there until they recalculated ...
    - Once I have parked I got out of the car, and the little arrow has followed me quite well to the office (Obviously I did not put the speed at which I was going lol ...)
    - The rest of things like interface and that, is much better than the rest although that was taken for granted.

Anyway this afternoon I will try it well, since I am going to leave Madrid, I will use roads and I will end up in the town ... so it will be a good test, right ???

    Tomorrow I'll tell you !!

  32.   jvga said

ok to download it has been said ... tell me where? xD

  33.   Miguel Angel said

Kotemon, have you noticed the lag that some say?

  34.   Miguel Angel said

And you Andreu? Have you noticed lag?

  35.   Kotemon said

The truth is that no ... functionality like any other TomTom navigator, but we are going to be more attentive this afternoon and I will tell you well ...

  36.   Miguel Angel said

Kotemon, well I appreciate it a lot, because I am quite indecisive, and what worries me the most is the issue of lag. If you also comment something on the topic of great radars :). For the rest, does it seem like a good buy?

  37.   Kotemon said

But I don't know ... how it convinces me a little more, I will surely buy it, it will surely go even better ... I would try it, it will not take long to download the ipa of iberia that occupies little ...

  38.   Kotemon said

About the radars, this afternoon I'm going to go by road and I know perfectly where they are, how do you indicate them?

  39.   Miguel Angel said

I have not done the jailbrake, so I need to know the opinion of those who have tried it.

  40.   Pyucatán said

Very good to adrianBCN y Cia.
I have left it in the old New Zealand thread, but I repeat it in case you need to install the updated icons and radars.

you have to unzip and place the speed camera file in the path:

    /private/var/mobile/Applications/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/Iberia.app/IberiaMap/

With this we can see the icons and warn us with a beep that is possibly that of the preset radars. Let us know in another way and at a certain distance, I have no idea.

    regards

  41.   Kotemon said

Ok ... well I'll tell you better tomorrow, but I already told you that surely I'm going to buy it that works better, and updates itself and stuff.

With the support it will be the ostia!

  42.   Pyucatán said

the path of the form comes out, I repeat it:

    private / var / mobile / Applications / xxxxxxxx
    xxxxxx / Iberia.app / IberiaMap /

  43.   Immortalized said

    Hello

  44.   adrianBCN said

Pyucatan is not supposed that the tomtom already comes with the radars ????

  45.   Pyucatán said

Yes, with the ones that they "consider", this way you make sure you are up to date every week, I think they are the Robser thing.

  46.   GREGORY said

Okay. I have tried this morning in the city (San Fernando de Henares) and it works quite well for me. My experience: I get a fast GPS signal, the lag you are talking about, at least in my case, is less than in Sygic, iGo or Navigon (the latter is also good for me).
I particularly prefer TomTom because I have always had a car navigator and the difference with the iPhone is minimal. As you can also put radars and others and, I imagine, other POI (s) because I believe that, I insist in my opinion, it is the best of the four that I have tried.

  47.   Pyucatán said

It may be the best, time to time, but it remains to be polished to bring it to the level of TomTom for Windows Mobile.

For example, it is missing, or I do not know how to do it, assign a voice to a POI (Attention radar at km / h), I have not seen the way to warn at a certain distance, and some other little thing ...

    regards

  48.   t4bLeT said

    Well I just installed it.
I need to test it with the car, but it synchronizes the same or faster than Navigon.
One of the things I was hoping to do with tom tom was the subject of POIs (points of interest) or POIs (Point of interest).
I have accessed the applications from WinSCP and a priori it looks good to modify the PDI database. Well, there is a poi.dat file.
I do not have GPS in the car, but from what I have been able to see, what I say can be done in conventional car tom toms.
Right now I'm on Universalpoi (dot) com and I'm going to experiment.

If someone is also encouraged to post the impressions.

    A greeting.

  52.   Quiqueal said

Installed and tested. I have Navigon, Sigic and igo installed. So far I have not seen the lag that some say. The radars, pass by one and you notice me with an icon and a not very clear beep, I would like a voice more. Of the four, I do not know, in the TT I miss the lane indication that if Nav and Sig have it. Nor do the signs that are in the others appear. I will have to try it more, but I expected more.

  53.   rafancp said

The ipa is here, register at clubifone.com and it shows you the links. It is perfect for me and I was moving too, no lag. Greetings.

  57.   jvga said

haha yes I have it in my possession muahaha xD for those who have installous and do not want to install them x SSH that they get into the safari and download it from there

  58.   djwild said

Well, tested and the truth is that it is quite bad, it is a bit deaf with the locations, when the Sygic is perfect, and thick in operation.

I have put the radars and their icons and it shows them on the screen, but it does not sing them, to see if in a future update they put the option to warn of the POIs you want and with the voice you want.

At least I could put the updated radars…. but for now I prefer the Sygic, for now it is more complete and accurate than the TomTom …….

  59.   adrianBCN said

Waiting for an update ... who would say that a few days ago we were wanting tomtom and now we want to update ... xD

    Greetings.

  60.   txu said

Tested this afternoon. It goes perfect, without any lag. Compare it with Navigon or Sygic, it's a matter of taste. I like it more. It picks up the signal very fast, it does not lose it and it is very accurate. Fixed speed cameras warn you with a beep and an indication of the allowed speed.
Of course, today it was very hot, but when I got out of the car, the iphone was very very hot

  61.   federiwe said

joer because it makes me look for the gps signal and so keda does not take anything in a while and I have already kited it. And I have everything well activated 3g….

  62.   txu said

Man, 3G I don't think it's very useful for you. Especially that you have a clear view of the sky, although inside the car you have not lost the signal even in the seat.

  63.   Kotemon said

Let's see if you can help me with this: When I restart the iPhone the tomtom icon changes and I get a kind of hidden icon with the image of the Ebay icon ... It works perfectly, but I would like to have my TomTom icon? If someone has ever happened to you with an application or with this one and can help me I would appreciate it ... I know that is not the subject of this thread, it is just in case someone has a quick answer.

As for the operation, for me it is already the best

    - No lag, it's better than the rest.
    - Very fast signal
    - Very clear instructions
    - Very good route calculation, and I recalculate much faster than the rest.
    - Very good interface and much more functionality than others
    - The radars are there, although it is true that the indication could be clearer (It will surely be improved)
    - When they call you, come back quickly and quite well located

This also goes for tastes maybe ... But if I have to recommend one, especially to those who have to spend the money, I definitely recommend TomTom

  64.   X's said

Forgive a question, is there anyone who has not jailbroken and has a problem with the application? I have not done it nor do I have any intention of doing it, and it is to see if it goes better than those who have it done.

    Thanks

  65.   X's said

I mean the TomTom without Jailbreak, of course.

  66.   Miguel Angel said

Thank you very much Kotemon, after what you said yesterday, and what you say today, I think you have convinced me with the TomTom issue.

  67.   Kotemon said

Well, I hope you are lucky, more than anything because of everything that they say out there, since it seems incredible to me that there are people who do so badly ... They all work well for me, but like this none ... For whoever wants or wants Like TomTom (I mean the devices), this is exactly the same, with the advantage that you only have to carry the mobile ... Also, and so I answer Xes, without Jailbreak the iphone works better, so this will also work better ...

  68.   Miguel Angel said

I have not done the jailbrake, and I also think as you say, because I have been able to see friends' iPhones with jailbrake and the programs work better for me without it.

  69.   X's said

There is only the issue of the happy support, when you know something fixed that falls

  70.   X's said

    Thank you very much Kotemon.

  71.   Kotemon said

TomTom support is going to improve it a lot… I'm sure !!

  72.   X's said

Of that I have no doubt, the only thing that "worries" me is the price of the support and when it will be available, because what I will not do is buy the TomTom and drive with the left and with the iPhone on the right ... And since it has to get the official TomTom support for iPhone, I want to buy that.

    regards

  73.   adrianBCN said

Official support says it will cost about 30 euros.
The problem is knowing when and if you can buy from the tomtom website.
Damn, if they have already released the application to remove the support!

  74.   X's said

That's what I complain about AdrianBCN.

    Greetings 😉

  76.   daniphone said

    Updated:
For those who do not have a good signal, there is a way to fix it.
1.- We enter Settings - General - Automatic blocking, and we set it to «never».
2.- We enter Settings - General - Restore - Restore network settings.
3.- We activate Wifi (even if we don't have a Wi-Fi network to connect to)
4.- We go to a clear site and activate the browser, either TOMTOM or Navigon.
After all this has worked perfectly for me, it has picked up the signal a few seconds after opening the TOMTOM and en route it has not failed even once.
I do not know if in this way, when resetting the network settings, we released some blockage that we had previously made which did not let the GPS signal work 100%.
After checking everything I have reconfigured the network settings by reconfiguring the WIFI since it deletes the password to the router.
I have also reset the automatic lock to 1 minute.
I have reopened TOMTOM and it still works perfectly.
Likewise, it must be recognized that something is possibly wrong in the TOMTOM software or in the Iphone itself.
I guess it will be fixed in future updates.
Also the maps are very old NAVIGON is more updated.
    Currently working OK
