Tumblr has released a major update to its iOS app. Version 3.4.1 fixes a serious security hole that compromised the security of our passwords, being able to be visible with tracking programs when sent without any type of coding.
The Yahoo-owned service has also launched a statement on your blog in which we can read the following:
We just released a very important security update for our iPhone and iPad apps to fix an issue that compromised passwords in certain circumstances. Please download the update now.
If you have been using these applications, you should update your password on Tumblr and on all those services that use the same password. It is also good practice to use different codes for different services.
Please know that we take your safety very seriously and are terribly sorry for what has happened.
Tumblr currently has 120 millions of blogs in which around 55.000 million posts have been published. This blogging platform was launched in 2007 by David Karp and since last May, Yahoo took over Tumblr for the figure of 1.100 million dollars.
You know, if you are Tumblr users, it is highly recommended that you download the latest version of the application as soon as possible and, later, you change the password with which you usually access. It is a pity that these very primary errors are still being made in services with such popularity.

A question, it has nothing to do with the article, but I have nowhere to ask but ... Why does the section "Payment applications that are on sale" does not load, and does not appear in the feeds ???
It still does not appear in the Chilean Store! 🙁
