With this tutorial you will be able to make a downgrade your iPhone 4S to iOS 5.0.1, you can do it from iOS 5.1, 5.1.1 or even from 5.0.1 itself if you want to restore.
Installing iOS 5.0.1 you will get to jailbreak untethered.
WARNING: this tutorial updates the baseband to the baseband of iOS 5.1.1, if you need a release of some kind, don't use it.
To follow this guide you need:
redsn0w 0.9.11b1
Tutorial:
Opens Redsn0w
press Extras
press Even more
Select the option Restore
press IPSW
Select the firmware iOS 5.0.1 that you have downloaded
This notice will appear saying you need other firmware
Press OK and select the firmware 5.1.1 that you have downloaded
A warning will appear saying that your baseband will be updated, if you need release do not continue or you will lose it, if you do not need it press YES
Your iPhone will go into Recovery Mode
Now you must select your SHSH from iOS 5.0.1, you can do it remotely or locally
Metering will take the SHSH from Cydia
Local will do it from your computer, using the SHSH saved with TinyUmbrella or downloaded with Redsn0w
The simplest is "remote"
Now it will paste the SHSH to your firmware and it will be restored
Once the restoration is finished, this warning will appear:

@Xavi: The problem is that you should have saved them with tinyumbrella.
Download that program and give it to save the ssh, if it saves it to disk.
Look for it in the folder named like this in your windows user .shsh

when I open Cydia I see that I have the SHSH of several iOS, including 5.0.1, which is the one I need.
