A few days ago at a conference on the new developments and supports of the software platform or software client Citrix, from the brand of the same name, they have shown how an iPhone (first version) was capable of running windows XP operating system installed on it thanks to their program called XenDestop.
This is a bit complex to explain, but basically what it does to work is to use the Citrix client as an application in UNIX that allows access to sessions in Windows through it. For example, in this conference there was a demonstration of how the presenter was able to connect via wifi to a Windows desktop and that it worked with it inside the iPhone.
Of course, for this to work, it was necessary for the iPhone to have a jailbreak made so that a VPN machine would be able to work inside it. Apparently the solutions for the new iPhone 3G will be much faster and more functional, as well as very cheap.

k intrsant but it is ksi impossible to get an apple iphone with microsoft windows xp is obvious right? regards
WITH FORM TO THE RELATED TOPIC, I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED AND I WOULD APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT OF KNOWING IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE A REMOTE ACCESS FROM MY IPHONE 3G WITH JAILBREAK TO A WINDOWS DESKTOP AND CONTROL IT, SO REGULARLY I DO IT FROM A LAPTOP IN MY HOUSE AND ACCESS I WORK, BUT IT'S THROUGH A TOKEN VPN CLIENT.
THANK YOU
This page is very good and so I learn more about the applications of my iphone, explained clearly.
If what you want is to manage a remote desktop of your pc from the iphone I recommend logmein (logmein.com) I use it and for 3g it goes vastly fast and if you get a good wifi it flies but for 3g it can be used perfectly well
