Following the simple and step-by-step tutorial that we show you below, you will be able to have your iPhone fully operational again and without any problem. This tutorial is for Windows. We will publish one for Mac shortly.
- We downloaded version 1.1.4 of the iPhone firmware from here and we keep it in an easily accessible place
- We have to uninstall iTunes 7.7 if you have already installed it (otherwise go to step 7)
- We restart the computer
- We downloaded version 7.5 of here
- We install it normally
- Now, before starting iTunes for the first time, you have to rename the following folder:
- We open iTunes from the desktop shortcut
- We put the iPhone in DFU mode with the help of this tutorial
- iTunes will notify you that it has found an iPhone in recovery mode, we click OK
- Now the iPhone tab will be selected in the iTunes sidebar
- We press the Shift button on the keyboard and at the same time we click with the mouse on Restore
